Communication Technology Academy (ComTech)

ComTech is a school within the school. ComTech students often enter as 9th graders and stay with the program through graduation. Students in the program have the opportunity to take English, social studies and digital design classes with the same cohort during their time at RHS. Students are also encouraged to take Advanced Placement courses, dual enrolled courses through Gulf Coast State College and also have the opportunity to earn industry certifications in 6h4 various Adobe Creative Suite programs.

Construction Academy

The RHS construction academy program allows students to learn various aspects of the construction trade. Throughout the sequence of courses, students have the opportunity to construct a myriad of projects, such as sheds, buddy benches and small book libraries. The students also can earn industry certifications through the NCCER program.

IB Career Program (CP)

The RHS manufacturing academy was formed in conjunction with local manufacturers. Students learn the importance of safety in the workplace while working towards a MSSC-CPT (Certified Production Technician) certification, which can lead to 15 hours of articulated credit at Gulf Coast State College. Many students also earn certification in Solid Works, a mechanical design program.

Culinary

There is so much more to culinary than just cooking, which the students have plenty of opportunity to do. As RHS students progress through the culinary program, they can earn industry certification in ServSafe, the leading certification required by the food service industry. Students also have many real world experiences by catering various events for the school and community.

Hospitality and Tourism

This program gives students exposure to the ever popular hospitality industry. Since hospitality and tourism is a major economic factor in Bay County, this career path allows students to learn the ins and outs of the business. Students also have the opportunity to participate in real work though the cooperative education opportunities.
